Born and raised in Milton, Ontario, Katie's journey with dance began when she was a young girl, where she discovered a profound love for movement and expression. However, her early experiences in dance were bittersweet. Despite her passion, she encountered a culture in many studios that didn't foster inclusivity or acceptance. She now has found that at DFS, this culture is non-existent.

Katie completed her undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature at Western University, where she rekindled her love of music and expression through musical theatre classes. Now, Katie is pursuing her Bachelor of Education at the University of Ottawa, specializing in English and History. She plans to make her classes a magical and musical experience.
